A Little Care Goes a Long Way

We feel fortunate to place flowers in your hands for so many of life’s moments.

Their story begins with the growers who plant, tend, and harvest them, before we ever see them. From there, they make their way to our studio, where we arrange each stem with care—paying attention to their shape, texture, fragrance, and natural movement.

We’re grateful whenever a little piece of Hyssop finds its way into your home. And because flowers are fleeting by nature, we want to help you enjoy them for as long as possible.

A few simple things can make a difference:

  • Trim the stems at an angle with clean, sharp shears before placing them in water.

  • Keep the vase about ¾ full with fresh water.

  • Change the water every few days. Give the vessel a good rinse, trim the stems again, and remove any blossoms that have begun to fade.

  • Keep your flowers somewhere cool, away from direct sunlight, heat, drafts, and produce. (Fruit and vegetables release ethylene gas, which can shorten the life of your flowers.)

  • Let them change. Flowers will open, soften, and eventually fade. Remove what has passed while allowing the rest of the arrangement to keep unfolding.

We know flowers won’t last forever. Perhaps that is part of their charm. Our hope is simply that with a little care, you can enjoy their presence longer.
